Boating is a wonderful pastime for people who love being out on the water, but it also does come with some risks if you aren’t careful. As an independent business consultant, Dean Buescher loves to spend his free time in the outdoors and has a passion for boating. Today he shares the top three things you should not do when boating for all the boating beginners out there.
- Not checking the weather conditions before you head out. Conditions on the water can change rapidly, so you want to make sure you are prepared.
- Not having enough gas. The amount of fuel you will use can change depending on the weight of the boat and weather conditions, so remember to fuel up before you leave.
- Overloading the boat. Remember to check the boat’s weight capacity before you leave, otherwise, you could end up in some serious trouble on the water. Boats that are overloaded are more prone to capsizing.
